Joaquín Torres, now known as Falcon, is a prominent character in Marvel Comics. A teenager from the American Southwest, Joaquín was kidnapped and experimented upon by Karl Malus, a scientist working for the Sons of the Serpent.

These experiments infused Joaquín with avian DNA, specifically that of a red-tailed hawk, granting him enhanced vision, limited flight capabilities due to developing wing-like appendages, and a psychic link with the bird.
